Hello lovely subscribers! 💞

Our podcast guest this week is the recently-retired Emilie Moberg who raced for Le Col-Wahoo in her final few seasons before the effects of a concussion after a crash at the first Paris Roubaix Femmes left her sidelined for the whole 2022 season.

Emilie’s career spanned twelve years and as part of our chat she spoke about the changes she’s witnessed in women’s cycling throughout that time. (She’s also the daughter of the Tour of Scandinavia organiser Roy Moberg of chicken suit fame.)

You’ll be able to hear the whole thing when it comes out on Friday but, in the meantime, the discussion got me thinking about how far things really have come since then.

Although Emilie’s career began in 2010 I’ve taken the year 2012 as a comparison because it’s neater to do 10 years and because 2012 was an Olympic year and also because I make the rules here 🤷‍♀️.
