Hello lovely subscribers! 💘

Have you ever read the book Cat by Freya North? If you have then congrats, you are truly one of us and you’re going to love what we have in store (we hope). If not, then let us explain: Cat was published in 1999 and centres around budding journalist Catriona McCabe who is sent to cover a contemporary edition of the Tour de France by The Guardian.

Now, before you get salivating about all the juicy doping drama that’s SURELY involved (1998, HELLO) Cat is a novel far more interested in… other things that begin with ‘d’. (Although it doesn’t completely shy away from the subject of EPO, either.)

To give you an idea: its formative title was ‘lashings of lycra’ and the author was inspired by Jilly Cooper 🤠🐎.
