Hello! Welcome to Women’s Cycling Weekly 🚴♀️
Annemiek van Vleuten is making me feel bad about myself.
After winning stage two of the Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta yesterday, she woke up bright and early this morning to head out for an 8:30am ‘easy’ (a relative term which I imagine does not mean the same thing to AVV and mere mortals) 50km spin ahead of stage three.
In fairness, today’s stage was less than 100km long, and she is training for worlds (something about being on Aus time which my mathematically challenged brain can’t really fathom) plus she’s Annemiek van Vleuten so we can’t expect any less tbh.
And all I did was write this silly little newsletter.
While we haven’t been churning out double days, we have been busy bees at WCW towers this week doing some ✨planning✨ ahead of the off season! Starting with a VERY EXCITING (albeit potentially left field) interview on Monday.
If you want to stay in the loop with all that jazz then make sure you are subscribed to our weekly additional content!
Enjoy and see (some of) you on Wednesday!

RIP 👑
While neither of us at WCW consider ourselves monarchists we are both British and so it would be remiss not to pay our respects to Queen Liz (with a pic of her on a bike, natch.)
That’s all 👋
