The UCI have confirmed that Fenix-Deceuninck - formerly Plantur-Pura - have been awarded the final WorldTour licence for 2023. All previous WWT teams have also had their licences renewed for next season.
After postponing her retirement at the end of this year, Marta Bastianelli has confirmed her long career will draw to a close after the 2023 Giro Donne.
New Spanish Continental team Zaaf Cycling have announced their roster for 2023. After the collapse of the B&B Hotels women’s team, Zaaf have picked up several riders linked to that team - including Audrey Cordon-Ragot and Heidi Franz - as well as Canadian track cyclist Maggie Coles-Lyster and African champion Ebtissam Zayed Ahmed.
Another two Le Col-Wahoo riders have found new teams for 2023: Eva van Agt will ride for Jumbo-Visma in what will be her first full year in a UCI team, whilst Becky Storrie is off to Team DSM. One of the team’s directors, Nico Marche, is also departing for UAE Team ADQ.
Speaking of UAE Team ADQ (do they have unlimited spots on their roster?), they have signed Karolina Kumiega to bring their team size to 16 for next year.
Following high schooler Hayley Yoslov’s petition, Life Time have agreed to change the start format at next year’s Sea Otter MTB cross country race
Several Specialized ambassadors - a program that provides sponsorship to several top adventure riders - have had their contracts suddenly terminated this week.
