Hello lovely subscribers and welcome to Women’s Cycling Weekly: Your weekly round-up of all things news, content, racing, and more from the world of women’s cycling.
Hey subcribers, hope you’ve all had an excellent week. I’ve just been watching the cross-country short track as I finished up the newsletter and wow. What a race. What a final lap. Puck Pieterse on a mountain bike is always an exciting time and, rather ominously for her road competitors, she said mountain biking is the real work and the road bike is for fun. I, for one, am excited to see what fun Puck has on the road this summer.

News 📰
The UCI have announced changes to the points system that will see the Women’s WorldTour split into five tiers, including what seems to be the designation of monuments and the Tour de France Femmes on it’s own tier. Tilda explained this in much more detail here, along with some updates to safety protocols.
Downhill rider Anna Newkirk has broken her hand in practice at Val di Sole. This is a real shame considering how good her form has been this season, where she hasn’t finished outside the top 5.
