Hello lovely subscribers and welcome to Women’s Cycling Weekly: Your weekly round-up of all things news, content, racing, and more from the world of women’s cycling.
Hellooooo what a week it has been! The Tour of Britain was super exciting (if a bit stressful) and it looks like we’ll be in for another great weekend of racing this week. Lots to look at this issue so I won’t chat for too long but just wanted to quickly shout out how impressive Gracey Hemstreet’s back-to-back wins have been! This isn’t something we see too often in downhill, especially for someone so young and especially with the field being as strong as it currently is. The racing has been great this season so it’s the perfect time to start watching if you don't already!
Enjoy your weekend and the races!

News 📰
The day after winning her first WWT race, Mara Roldan was involved in a heavy crash at the Tour of Britain and suffered a broken femur. She has undergone surgery and continues to recover in hospital.
The UCI has announced the 2026 Women’s WorldTour calendar and the most exciting change is that the Giro d’Italia has been moved! The race will take place 30th May - 7th June.
The UCI will also be introducing new rules on handlebar width for 2026. There will now be a minimum width of 400mm for all riders which could greatly impact the women’s peloton, forcing many to compromise on comfort and control.
