News 📰
The Austrian-based Ceratizit Group has announced it will end its sponsorship of the women's WorldTeam Ceratizit Pro Cycling at the end of the 2025 season, marking the end of a decade of support for the sport by the cutting tools and hard materials company.
Anna van der Breggen has been forced to abandon Itzulia women after a hard crash on the first stage.
Vittoria Bussi has set a new women’s UCI Hour Record of 50.455 km. The Italian bettered her own previous record of 50.267 km from 2023 which, at the time, made her the first woman to break the 50 km mark.
And in other record breaking news: Canadian, Dr. Sarah Ruggins, has broken the overall record for riding the length of Britain from John O’Groats to Lands End and back. The record has yet to be verified but the 37-year-old is estimated to have completed the 2,700 km journey in 5 days 11 hours and 4 minutes. Ruggins only took up cycling a few years ago after suffering from a rare and debilitating autoimmune disease which left her paralysed.
