Hello lovely subscribers! 💘

So I know we promised you a Very Exciting Interview this week but unfortunately our interviewee came down sick and we had to postpone 😢 we are HOPING to be able to bring it to you next week instead.

Instead, I’m (Amy) going to share some film snaps from TDFF that I finally got developed this week!

Before the race I decided I would be ✨cute✨ and immortalise this historic race on film so I got my intern, Tilda, to pick up a camera for me in the UK and bring it over.

Then I basically forgot to use the camera at all for multiple stages at a time which means there isn’t really any continuity in the way they appear. Then, in a panic, I got very snap happy in the final few stages — especially on the Planche des Belles Filles 🤪.

Needless to say these didn’t come out half as edgy and arty as I imagined and I will not be threatening the livelihood of any bona-fide photographers any time soon.

BUT I do hope you enjoy this surprise little TBT to the TDFF as much as I did when I flicked through these photos 🥺🥺.

We start off very Basic with a wonky shot of La Tour Eiffel waiting for the Tour de France Femmes to kick off!
In which I forgot that disposable film cameras cannot pick up the distant figures of cyclists crossing the finish line from ~100m away.
One such distant figure slightly closer up: Lorena Wiebes collapsing off her bike and teammate Juliette Labous congratulating her after winning the sprint and taking the first yellow jersey. Also featured: one of many instances in which part of my finger makes an appearance. Not pictured: ‘Lorena’s’ baby.
