Hello lovely subscribers and welcome to Women’s Cycling Weekly! 🚴♀️
When SD Worx sent out an press release giving a heads up about a press conference happening yesterday evening that they thought would gather “international interest” some were joking that it would be the return of Anna van der Breggen, but I don’t think anyone actually expected it. Nevertheless, it turned out to be true. The 34-year-old will make her return to the peloton in 2025 after three years of retirement. With the way the sport is going and the new opportunities that have arisen even since 2021 when she stepped away one can hardly blame her.
Between this and the imminent return of Pauline Ferrand Prevot to road racing the 2025 peloton is starting to look like the 2015 peloton. Who would be another rider from that era that you’d like to see return to racing in 2025?

You got your wish on the puppies on podiums request - lol !! xxx
Ineos not getting with the program. PFP having to swap teams. It's been odd with just her in the MTB to be honest, but hey ho!
AvdB goes to one gravel race and wants to be pro again ;-) Those battles with AVV in the mountains were iconic, and the helicopter shot of AvdB smashing the 2020 worlds amazing, more of the same please?
