Women's Cycling Weekly issue 49
A weekly curation of women's cycling news and content straight to your inbox
Hello! Welcome to Women’s Cycling Weekly issue 49 🚴♀️
WCW has turned one! 🎈
Because I’m dreadful at maths (and being organised) the official anniversary of WCW (20th November) passed me by because I was waiting for issue 52. Of course, given that one or two weeks have been missed and this newsletter is now bi-weekly the actual anniversary isn’t going to correspond to issue 52. So HBD to WCW and a huge thank you to everyone who has supported it over the first 12 months of its existence!
It would also be remiss of me not to acknowledge that only reason this newsletter continues to exist as I limp my way towards a much-needed Christmas break is thanks to the efforts of Tilda, without whom I would have been sending out a hastily cobbled-together, much worse version last minute every Friday — and maybe not even on a Friday at all. This isn’t my diary so I won’t bang on but 2021 has been a bit of a rollercoaster for me and keeping this up whilst staying on top of paid work and personal stuff has, at times, been a bit much. So consider this a Tilda appreciation paragraph and if you would like to show your own appreciation then let her know because she works way harder than me and deserves it.
Right, that’s enough earnestness for this week. Let’s crack on.
