Women's Cycling Weekly issue 68
A weekly curation of women's cycling news and content straight to your inbox
Hello! Welcome to Women’s Cycling Weekly issue 68 🚴♀️
Basically, this:
I’ve said everything I’ve got to say on this subject on this week’s Freewheeling and in a piece I wrote for CyclingTips, but to summarise: it’s not good enough and it’s a huge shame for both the riders and fans. Luckily, our very own Tilda is on the ground, but only after a huge ‘mare to get her accreditation sorted.
Shout out for Lotto Thuringen Ladies Tour (not even a UCI race) for putting on coverage this week, though — make sure you watch the last two stages of that to see if BikeExchange can continue their domination of the race!
News 📰
Ellen van Dijk broke the Hour Record on Monday, covering a distance of 49.254km, beating Joss Lowden’s attempt 48.405km set in September.

Abby had a great reason not to be on this week’s Freewheeling — the arrival of her daughter! The rest of us (Tilda included!) did our best to keep it together in her absence, and Loren and I even recorded in-person for the first time! We Discussed Vuelta a Burgos Feminas and The Live Coverage Conundrum.
