Women's Cycling Weekly issue 69
A weekly curation of women's cycling news and content straight to your inbox
Hello! Welcome to Women’s Cycling Weekly issue 69 (hehe) 🚴♀️
Change is afoot here at WCW. Tilda and I have some new and exciting plans up our sleeves (which I’m teasing here for our own accountability if nothing else.) Stay tuned!
In the meantime, one thing we decided on, and will be implementing in this issue, is a little mixing up of the order of proceedings in this-here newsletter. By which I mean we have moved the ‘results’ and ‘upcoming races’ section down and the recommendations up. Our thinking was that you, the reader, are probably more into that stuff than reading a whole big block of bullet points telling you stuff about races that you might already know about. If you hate it then please let us know, seriously!
Very boring of me to tease new things without laying out any detail but that’s mostly because the ideas are still mushy, unformed things in our heads and, honestly, right now you don’t want to see inside mine.
Anyway, HOW GOOD that The Women’s Tour has managed to deliver live coverage? It would have been such a shame for that race to fall by the wayside because of a lack of TV as it’s been such a great event otherwise for so many years. I’m really looking forward to watching (and probably feeling homesick as a result…unless it’s raining.)
On which note, if you’re in the UK I hope you’re having a great bank holiday weekend! There’s no such thing as a bank holiday in freelance land so I’m very jealous. If you work a job that is similar then solidarity to you. Either way, have a Pimms on me.
Amy x
