Hello lovely readers and welcome to Women’s Cycling Weekly! 🚴♀️
Are you recovered from Roubaix yet? 🤯 Idk if I will ever be the same. Be sure to check out the ‘read’ section this week which has lots of Roubaix-related content!
Now it’s Ardennes time which, if I’m honest, I struggle to get as excited about as I do for the cobbled classics. That said, after watching Brabantse Pijl the other day I’m def more in the mood — and we had another different winner in Silvia Perisco! PLUS Lizzie Deignan might be returning to racing next Wednesday and that is something I can def get excited about.
P.s it’s 100 days until the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift!! 🤩

News 📰
With today marking 100 days to go until the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, ASO have announced the teams that will be racing this year. Both Stade Rochelais and Parkhotel Valkenburg will not be returning while Team Coop-Hitec Products got the invite alongside the other expected squads. (No Zaaf!!) ASO have also announced that SUEZ (off of FDJ - SUEZ) will come on as a partner of the race alongside Zwift.
Lizzie Deignan could return to racing earlier than planned after the birth of her second child last year. Deignan was due to make her comeback at the Vuelta at the end of this month but she has been provisionally added to the roster for Wednesday’s Flèche Wallonne. Trek-Segafredo confirmed to CyclingNews that they have “asked her to prepare to start Flèche Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne-Liège in case she is needed due to the possibility of some riders being unavailable at the moment.”
Marta Cavalli has returned to racing after some time away to recover from the lingering injuries and discomfort while riding in the peloton that stemmed from a crash at the Tour de France Femmes last July. FDJ-SUEZ confirmed to CyclingNews that Cavalli has fully recovered.
After Audrey Cordon Ragot left the team and joined Human Powered Health, the UCI has confirmed that it has granted Zaaf riders the freedom to change teams as the unravelling of the squad continues in the wake of riders not receiving pay. Dutch rider Mareille Meijering was the latest to confirm she has left the team.
Sunday will be Lotte Kopecky’s first Amstel Gold Race and her last race of the spring before she switches her focus to track and the Canada Nations Cup which takes place from the 20th-23rd April.
