Hello lovely subscribers and welcome to Women’s Cycling Weekly! 🚴‍♀️

SD Worx just can’t stop winning, eh? Even when Lorena Wiebes gets relegated on stage two of Burgos (unfairly, IMO) the team STILL take the win thanks to Demi Vollering coming second (on her way to eventual GC victory??)

WHO can beat them and if anyone can then when will it happen? Because right now they’re looking pretty unstoppable (wee-stop gate at La Vuelta aside.)

P.s: honourable mention to friend of WCW, Puck Pieterse for WINNING her FIRST elite MTB world cup at the weekend in Nové Město na Moravě 🇨🇿🍾.

News 📰

  • The only news I have this week is that Lorena Wiebes got relegated from stage 2 of Vuelta a Burgos Feminas for this????

  • Also there is STILL no (proper) news about the Giro Donne route despite the race (apparently) being due to start in just 6 weeks 🥲.

Even if it was an unintentional move, I think it's a legit relegation, particularly given how narrow the road was at that point. But I know the WCW love for the One True Sprinter is strong.
